Hey, my year's end report on D.C. museums is in this week's Washington City Paper. Read it online here.

Prognosis: Not so good. Surprise!

This is my last piece cobbled together with the help of arts editor Mark Athitakis, who is shuffling off to make people's writing better at some other publication. Mark, my sentences will miss you.

You can read some of Mark's lit musings on his own blog--here.

Pictured: Anna Gaskell, Untitled #6 (Wonder), 1996, C-print, collection of Heather and Tony Podesta. Currently on view in Role Models at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.

Mister Jeffry

What make something new,
when what you see seams SO
repetitive and out of inspirations?

there's a way to be original
without being compared with somebody
who die before me?
